For ChildrenSunday School is the primary contact that most children have with the church and one of the most important hours a child spends each week. First Presbyterian Church’s teachers are committed to your children—they know their job is important, and they seek to effectively relate Scripture to each child’s life through carefully planned lessons that are relevant and true to Scripture. Sunday School is held from 9:30 – 10:30 am. NurseryNursery Care Available 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Each venue in the city is an exciting place where your child will learn major Bible stories and faith lessons through a variety of child-friendly workshops: drama, Bible skills, computer lab, multimedia, arts and crafts, and more. Christopolis is a whole new way of teaching Sunday School called the Workshop Rotation Model. Students gather with those in their grade and attend one workshop each week until they have rotated through every workshop. During that five-week rotation period the students will focus on learning the same Bible story or theme, deepening their understanding and awareness of God’s Word in their lives. The same adult shepherd will journey each week with their group. All children gather in Room 136 for a short Worship Assembly before classes begin. Young Children's Sunday Morning WorshipWEe Worship (Two years –Kinder) Location: Guthrie-Bryant Chapel WEe Worship is a year-round worship experience for young preschool children designed to help them begin to understand praising the Lord through prayer, songs, a Bible verse, and a story just for them. The children are taken to the Guthrie-Bryant Chapel from their classrooms during extended-session time (during 10:45 and 11:05 worship services only). |
