Within the larger church community that is First Presbyterian Church, San Antonio, University Ministries is dedicated to building bridges into students’ lives that will enable them to glorify God during and beyond their college experience. Our desire is that their foundation of faith established today will stand firm tomorrow.

We strive to accomplish this by bridging

  • Jesus Christ and student

  • student and student

  • student and Christ’s Church

  • student and the world

Throughout the Week

CORE GROUPS
Groups consist of four to six college-aged students which are led by FPC adults. The goal of these groups is to “do life together.” They walk alongside each other throughout the year, keeping each other accountable through community, prayer and Bible study. These groups meet at a mutually-agreed-to day and time.

While The Fire and The Well are our two ministries on the campuses of the University of Incarnate Word and Trinity University, on Sundays during the fall semester, we welcome college students to join us after the worship services at 12:15 p.m. for lunch and Bible study in Room 226. We find students enjoy both venues of worship: Contemporary worship in Westminster Hall and Traditional worship in the Sanctuary, both at 11 a.m.

Mondays

THE FIRE
8:30-9 PM - University of the Incarnate Word Student Center

The Fire is a growing community of college-aged young adults (18-23) committed to investigating the claims of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Expect nothing less than a community of people who are seeking God through the Bible and passionate worship focused on Jesus Christ. Put simply, these individuals are thirsting for the living water that is Jesus Christ. Participants can also get involved in other opportunities for ministry including retreats, mission trips, small groups and more.

Wednesdays

This is a time for students of all campus ministries to join together as a faith community in Mabee Cafeteria. We are a community of believers who seek to worship through building relationships, by the simple act of eating a meal together.
