Weekdays Bible Study

Just as we are saved to serve others, we are also saved to be perfected in God’s likeness (Matthew 5:48). As children of God, we are called to immerse ourselves in his living word — the Bible — which is the textbook of our faith in Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12:2 to

be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We invite you to grow in weekly Life Groups, Christian education programs, Bible studies and a host of special events such as retreats, seminars and lectures from some of the world’s greatest theologians and scholars.

TUESDAY WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY:
"Jonah: Navigating a Life Interupted"
9:30-11:30 AM (Beginning Sept. 6, 2011)
Covenant Hall
Contact: Judy Kruger (210.826.3370 / This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it )

What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! You can’t escape life’s interruptions, but you can change your perspective on them. In this seven session Bible study, Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that an interruption actually may be God's divine invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city. The course involves personal study in preparation for weekly video presentations and small group discussions. Women of all ages are encouraged to attend. Suggested donation for the study guide is $13. Childcare is available by reservation. Contact Judy Kruger if you have questions.

Exodus — the word means “exit.”  But I wonder, is the book of Exodus only about the departure of the Israelite people from Egypt? Could it be that there is much more?  Beginning Sept. 15, we will “enter” into a study of Exodus, and my hunch is we may discover something life giving in this wonderful Old Testament book. The class is led by Rev. Trey Little.

Childcare is available from 9:15-11:30 a.m. Reserve by contacting the FPCSA Childcare Hotline (210.226.0215, ext. 312) no later than two days prior to the event. Drop ins for childcare cannot be accommodated.
