Sunday, Oct. 9, 8:30 AM-1 PM — Annual Flu Clinic
There is no charge for flu or pneumonia shots if you have Medicare Part B or selected insurance coverage. Cost of flu shots is $26.
Oct. 11-14 — Joint ARMSS/POAMN Convention & Conference
Cynthia Rigby, professor of theology at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, will be the key speaker at the 2011 Joint ARMSS/POAMN (Association of Retired Ministers & Presbyterian Older Association of Ministry Network)Convention & Conference. This year’s theme, “At the Crossroads of Change,” will guide the workshops and the keynote presentations. Membership in the Presbyterian Older Adult Ministries Network is open to anyone who is promoting, stimulating, developing and advocating for older adult ministry with congregations, presbyteries, synods or institutions and organizations related to older adult ministry. La Quinta River Walk is the convention site. Please contact Pat McCleary regarding registration.
Saturday, Oct. 15, 12-3:30 PM — Annual Fall Picnic
Come celebrate October birthdays with a barbecue lunch, along with great games, fellowship and entertainment at the home of Judith and Doug McNeel. Cost is $10 per person and free for those celebrating an October birthday. Your check, payable to FPC with "picnic” noted in memo line, serves as a reservation and is due to Pat McCleary no later than Tuesday, Oct. 11. Van transportation is available, so please indicate if you need a ride. (Directions available if you are driving). Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 16, from 2:30-6 p.m. For information, contact Pat McCleary.
