The Congregational Care Ministry works within our strategy to SERVE by providing compassionate, confidential care to those who experience a wide diversity of human needs. The ministry responds with spontaneous compassion to real-life needs that express the steadfast grace and love of Jesus Christ through a variety of different ministries, all supported by pastoral staff.
Care and Concern
LineThis 24-hour line was conceived to inform the congregation of those who are hospitalized and of those with prayer requests. Call 210-222-CARE to listen to the day’s message. Prayer requests and/or messages may be left on the line by pressing “2” after the recorded message begins.

To notify the church of hospitalizations and/or other pastoral care needs:
| The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) for privacy make it more complicated for congregations to inquire of some hospitals regarding members who are patients. The Pastoral Staff of First Presbyterian wants to be available to members and their loved ones at such times. |
