| Dear Faithful Follower of Christ, Here at First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio, we believe that meeting our financial commitments is an incredible opportunity for "faith living" and "faith giving." As redeemed people we are called to live in faith and one way we do that is entrusting our resources to the Lord. God has given us so much; we respond with our own giving. The Biblical standard is the tithe which is 10 percent of your resources (Hebrews 7:5-9, Luke 18:12 and Matthew 23:23). One of my favorite texts is Malachi 3:10 — prayerfully consider ''testing the Lord Almighty." I invite you to be part of a commitment, not a stewardship campaign. I encourage you to consider giving as an act of worship and thankfulness for what has been given to you. Give not until it hurts, but give till it feels good. In view of God's mercy in your life — honor Christ with your giving. Faith living must include faith giving. "God loves a cheerful giver." May your stewardship of God's gifts to you represent a rededication to your service of Jesus Christ. I am excited to see how the Lord will richly bless our faithfulness! What a gift it is to be a part of God's redemptive work in the world. Together, may we continue to strive for Kingdom living and giving! Peace, Trey H. Little senior pastor |
Pick up a pledge card at the church and drop it in the offering plate, mail it to the church (First Presbyterian Church, attn: Carolyn Tulley, 404 N. Alamo St., San Antonio, TX 78205-1918) or save time and postage by completing a pledge card online. It’s secure, quick and easy. And remember, you can give online for the current year as well as past or future years if you indicate the year on the optional memo line. For example, just write "For 2011 pledge" in the memo line. It's just like a memo line on a printed check.
There are so many ways you can give from God’s bountiful providence:
